Flight Photos: A Pan American Airways DC-3 parked for the evening at the Historic Flight Foundation/KPAE. This airframe started out as a military variant, the C-47. After the C-47's were retired and replaced, Pan Am bought it and converted it to a standard configuration. After its life with Pan Am, it was bought privately and chartered out, making trips from America to Asia and so on. Since then it has obviously been restored to its Pan Am paint scheme, but not configuration.
